Based on research that i have read, most of people in Indonesia prefer to watch movies as their favourite activity to spend their leisure time. Let alone in pandemic era, streaming platform were widely available. We could easily access many kind of movies from them. The platforms were netflix, disney hotstar, wetv, and many more. They were offering a lot of movies, k-drama, series, and documenter movies. Those were attracted many people, especially for me.
Actually, i started to watch movie since elementary school and my first movie that i watch is Harry Potter. But that movie still had not made me keen on watching movies as my hobby. I just watch a movie rarely.
Related to what i have said before, i started to watch movies as my hobby since pandemic era. Because most of that time we couldn't go outside right? The isolation made me willy nilly do something so that didn't feel bored at all. The most commont and entertaining activity at that time was watching movies. I assume that watching movies is able to reduce stress, gives plenty of knowledge and i can learn and improve English from it.
